Easter bunnies and Easter Eggs? No.
Easter to me is all about Jesus. Wow! Jesus, is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is the reason for this season. Today, I celebrate Him, as the risen King! Hallelujah. See, whether you believe in His resurrection or not, everyone around the world, marked today as Easter Sunday! Praise God! What an impact Jesus Christ had on the world as it is today! What manner of man is Jesus!
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 20-22 KJV)
This Easter has been my most emotional yet! Gosh, today I asked God, why did You make me so emotional? Then I quickly remembered something. We are all individually, specially packaged on this earth. We are all different and unique in our own ways. God never makes mistakes! And if I get very emotional from time to time, I'm just going to embrace it and roll with it!
Emotional... Because, today is about Jesus's ascension into Heaven. Defeating the devil, getting victory, bringing forth salvation to God's children, bridging the gap between God and Man. Emotional.... Because Christ was bruised, beaten, mocked, scarred, humiliated and killed for me. For my redemption. For me to live so freely as I do now. I could never thank God enough. I am so grateful. I am so honoured to even be called His child, his hier. I thank God for the Name of Jesus we have been given to use to intercede for us. The Name of Jesus, a name that is now exalted. Higher than any other name. Oh glory! At the mention of the Name of Jesus, every knee must now and tongue confess that Jesus is Lord! Hallelujah. That name of Jesus sets us free, sets us apart, delivers us from sins and brings us into eternal life. My life is truly not my own. I live and breathe to stand here and worship the name of the Lord. To declare His goodness and greatness. I exalt His majesty! Oh Father I adore You. I magnify You. Be thou glorified Heavenly Father.
Jesus, I Love You. Thank You for that sacrifice. Thank You for the debt you paid for me. Thank You for coming down from Heaven, in all your glory, to this earth, for dying for me on that cross of Calvary, oh Lord I worship Your name on high.
