Cambridge Weight Plan

I would gladly offer myself up as a guinea pig for any thing that would help me lose weight FAST!

Like many adults and/or mums out there, I have gradually put on weight and watched myself balloon from a perfect size 8 to a size 14 borderline 16 (in 7 years)! Although it is not so obvious from the waist up, it is problematic and I am ever willing to conqueror this issue FAST!

I must admit, I like the easy way out. However I cannot stress enough the importance of a healthy lifestyle. I would encourage anyone/everyone to eat clean. Eat healthy food and exercise regularly.  There is no quick fix, but there is a quick start!

Every now and then, I relax, I get comfortable, I get happy. I eat what appeases me without thinking about the consequences. What is that saying again "a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips? Yes, that has been my reality. Unfortunately, when you get used to something, it becomes a habit and then your habit becomes an addiction. You find yourself eating things you know are wrong and not good for you. You ignore your gut instinct. Most times, you go out of your way to fund your food addiction. Sometimes even turn to secret eaters. You eat alone where no one can see you eating that chocolate cake.

In the past I have tried the tablets (which I cannot commit to because it only makes me sick. I don't even take paracetamol when I have a migraine so medicine on a daily basis is also known as punishment -in my head). I have also tried exercising but exercising is hard when you are a full time working mum. No time. I do try walking. Walking is good. Walking helps a lot.  But one thing I have learned to understand is, no matter how much you walk or run or exercise or pop diet pills, if your eating habits are wrong, you will rarely see the difference. With all your exercising, you might just turn your fat into muscle, but that is not reducing your weight. There are people that are not fat, but they are big (i.e. the Rock). You can't dare call him a fat man because he is tall and built. Big in nature. Definitely not slim. Or Serena Williams, another typical example. I do not know her eating habits but she is built and muscular. Not fat and not slim. I want to be slim, although I do not want to lose my natural God-given curves.

So, one day, whilst walking to work from my train station, I walked passed a shop and saw an advert on the window. I went into the shop, made enquiries, went online to read and educate myself more, asked a few friends and they recommended it. The last thing I wanted was another fad diet that was impossible to stick to yet never works or only works for a few days and then we are back to square 0.

Cambridge Weight Plan is a Diet Plan I have chosen to follow because it is healthy. It is not starving yourself because your body will be taking in all the nutrients it needs to survive. It is all in the mind. So I have decided to take my mind, but a lock on it. Close my eyes to all the bad habits I have become accustomed to (i.e. eating everything sweet I set my eyes on) and follow this strict plan. Although it would be tough, I have been advised to mentally prepare myself so I don't lapse and return to the bad habits that got me to this size in the first place.

The good thing with the Plan is it not only helps kick-start your weight loss, it teaches you how to live a healthier lifestyle and make the right food choices.

You can get a lot more information from http://www.cambridgeweightplan.com/

You can get a selection of different plans and their food includes porridge, shakes, soups, chocolate bars etc. As I am not the adventurous type, I will stick to the shakes as there is more variety in that. It helps that the shakes are actually really yummy. So one shake for breakfast, one shake for lunch and one shake for dinner. Throughout the day, I will drink 3 litres of water. I will do this every day for 7 days, report back on my progress, take two days break and continue for another 7 days.

I usually need a goal/focus to motivate me, so the timing is just right. Firstly, its the Summer! What better excuse? Secondly, my husband's birthday is fast approaching and lastly, I have a wedding to attend on August 30th.

I think long term, I will follow the Philip Schofield 5:2 diet (which again, I will be your guinea pig), but for now, it is all about the Cambridge Weight Plan .....

Wish me luck!

xoxo
