I Luh God (Song Of The Week) ..... Lovingly, Fiercely... Unashamedly

My daughters do this thing where when we are walking on the street, they sing. Loudly. Especially my youngest. I'm just glad it's good soulful christian music and not secular music! Thanks to our weekly choir rehearsals where we sing constantly! But I must confess to something.... At first when it started, I felt ashamed. Don't judge me. I was ashamed for two reasons. 1. It's incredibly loud. 2. It's christian music and I didn't want them judged by random strangers.

When I got such feeling, I was reminded of Mark 8:38 in that split second. Jesus said "Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels". (Mark 8:38 KJV) and Matthew 10.32 where he also said "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven". (Matthew 10:32 KJV). My spirit just felt warm and soft again because, why on earth should I be concerned and perturbed that they are praising God on the road. Aren't I teaching them to love God with all their heart. They don't see anything wrong with their voices or their environment so why should I? Psalm 103:22 reads "Bless the Lord, all His works in all places of His dominion; bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul!" (Psalm 103:22 AMP). My mind was opened to the fact that children are so innocent! No wonder Jesus said we have to transition into children to enter into the Kingdom of God. To put it plainly, the Good News Bible says this "At that time the disciples came to Jesus, asking, “Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven?” So Jesus called a child, made him stand in front of them, and said, “I assure you that unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the Kingdom of heaven. The greatest in the Kingdom of heaven is the one who humbles himself and becomes like this child. And whoever welcomes in my name one such child as this, welcomes me. “If anyone should cause one of these little ones to lose his faith in me, it would be better for that person to have a large millstone tied round his neck and be drowned in the deep sea". (Matthew 18:1-6 GNB)

So guess what I did? I joined them. If people I don't care about think my kids are crazy, well, we better be looking crazy together and get our praise on regardless of who is watching!

So from now on, if you see me and my kids singing on the streets, don't forget to high five us! We love God! If I get a funny stare on the street, I will sing the lyrics of my theme song to you. "I Luh God, you don't Luh God? What's wrong with you? I love God unashamedly. If you don't love God, then what is wrong with you? Leave me and my children to get our worship on, anywhere!

Love this song!

Be Inspired
xoxo
