One Of The Perks Being A Mum

One of the perks of being a mum is the bonding experience. You get to share their first and second experiences with them. You introduce them to the world from a whole new perspective. You give them hope and encourage them. I don't compromise with quality time with each child. I live for it and I so enjoy it. I believe all children should be given the opportunity to thrive and develop their own identity. They need attention to do this. My gosh they need attention. If they are anything like their mummy they need all the attention from me they could possibly get. I work on developing a strong connection with all of my children. Not as a collective, but as individuals. Everyday it's a conscious effort to ensure no area is lacking. And guess what, we can sit and joke about how we work so hard for them, and how we do all the work and chaperone them everywhere, cleaning, cooking, laundry, homework, messy play, teaching, talking (on repeat), how we do this that and the other for them. But there will come a time when you will no longer be needed for all that. They will one day grow and they wouldn't need you to remind them to come to the table for dinner, they wouldn't need you to potty train them, or apply medicated cream on their skin. And you will look back at moments like this and laugh. You will crave for them to need you half as much as they need you now. So just enjoy every moment. Do what you can. Don't stress. Life is way too short. Laugh often.  Enjoy bonding with them. Every day is an opportunity to make new memories with them. Do little things with them. Sometimes the simplest of moments are the most precious, for example, today, we made messy chocolate chip cupcakes with vanilla buttercream icing and white chocolate buttons. First time ever. It was fun. That's all.
