The song of the year has finally dropped!!!!!
This week, I meditated on quite a few songs, old and new and although I love them all, I hadn't put my finger on THE SONG OF THE WEEK. Not yet anyway. Since starting this series, it's turned into a pretty big deal. Big enough for my kids to ask, "mummy, what is the song of the week this week?". So every song I have chosen has to be a song that I personally LOVE and listen to.
This morning, my twin released her first single in almost 10 years! What most don't know about her is she is a wife and yummy mummy of two, lawyer and OAP with a unique flair for business. One of the most hardworking and BUSIEST women I know. This girl puts the work in.
I'm so giddy right now not because she is my dear friend, but I just connect with this song. I listened to it in April/May when it was still incomplete and needed editing, but I still loved it in its unedited form. I knew it will be an instant hit. My kids already know all the lyrics, it's that crazy. We just lift our hands and rock to this song. My favourite part is the unexpected surprise at the end. I am glad to finally present this song to the world (if you haven't heard it already then you are really missing SOMTING).
