CommonWealth Games 2014

I haven't been religiously following the CommonWealth Games being held in Glasgow, Scotland this year. Besides, most of us are still recovering from the World Cup which only ended a few weeks ago.

I do however like watching it sometimes because, rather than watch footballers kick a ball around the pitch all day for months, we get to watch a variety of different sporting activities. You can pick and chose which one you want to watch.

So yesterday after work and after putting my angels to sleep, I flicked through and watched a bit of the games. Luckily for me, it was time for the 100m track race.

Suffice to say, a Nigerian lady won the race. Within seconds, my sister text me to ask if I had just watched the race. I felt a sense of pride watching her despite not personally knowing her. Her name is Blessing Okagbare. She won the race in only 10.85 seconds. How amazing. Something to be proud of. Something to be inspired by.

Well done to her.

Keep following your dreams! Be Inspired.
xoxo
