............And finally, after 32 days, 64 matches, 12 venues, 32 countries, 171 goals, 8 red cards, and a lot more figures I don't have the time to list, Germany have won the FIFA 2014 World Cup.
What's great about the World Cup is that it literally brings the whole world together. We unite. Our spirits are lifted. We support our home countries until they get knocked out and then we support the next country we like or think is stronger. It was fun while it lasted. We have seen tears, tantrums, the highs and the lows, it was nail biting and toe curling at times, but its over. Yes, I said it. Its over. Finally. Natural order is restored. Yipppeeee.
Unfortunately I didn't win the prize at work and I still think Messi is the world's greatest player, but, we have to give credit to where credit is due. The best team won. Congratulations to them.
