I love seeing the bond between a father and his daughter(s). Seeing my husband and my daughters relate is such an astonishing moment to capture and I feel blessed to watch them live!
Being a good man is easy, being a good father on the other hand is a lot trickier. Being a good dad means putting the needs of your children before yours in all circumstances. It means sacrificing all you have just to please them. It means being a good example because as a man, you are their first representation of their view of men in the world. All they do is watch you and learn from you.
Whether you like it or not, their future friendships with the other sex is mostly as a result of the kind of relationship they had with their dad whilst growing up. They will look for qualities in a man that is just like their dad's. I have seen this time without number. Whether it has a positive or a negative influence is an individual choice, but a lot of their reasonings stem all the way back to their relationships with their dad.
Being a good dad is not a walk in the park, yes. It requires hard work, dedication, determination, consistency and love.... And it is worth every minute.
