Exercise Tip! SCOOTERCISE



I don't have many exercise tips to dish out but here is one that happened today!

So, ever since I swapped my 9-5 job for my career and more time with my children I have been on mummy duties around he clock. Well, at least until bedtime before it starts all over again in the morning.

Whether you work it out in the gym for 3 hours every day or not, this extra tip will help shed that extra few pounds you need to get rid of. I call it SCOOTERCISE!

School runs seems to be the only exercise I do consistently. Running from one school to another from one playgroup to another and one extra-curricular activity to another is what I've really been sinking my teeth into. Now the weather has picked up and it's looking brighter outside, I decided to allow my children on to their scooters for longer journeys past the park. I know it's what most people do, but for us it's a big deal because we always want to constantly wrap them in cotton wool. They are girls! They need as little scratches as possible. The fear of falling and bruising their precious little heads has always been a contributing factor! So anyway, they are using their scooters on all journeys when we are not taking the car. The exercise for me is literally running while they scoot. And because I want to look cute whilst walking, I'm not running... Noooooooo.  I'm walking super fast. That just helps burn off those extra calories. Beats walking slowly anyway!

So if you want to scootercise, swap driving your kids to school and put them on their scooters. It makes the journey a lot quicker, they have fun as they usually do and you get a little exercise done. It's a win win situation.
