It is as simple as that. When you teach a man/woman a skill, they will be able to better provide for themselves in the future. The Holy Bible says "The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow." (Deuteronomy 28:12 KJV)
It doesn't matter what the skill or trade is, but if you are trained at anything, turn it into something. God will bless it. That way, you too can be a blessing to someone else. Not by giving them handouts, but by teaching them, so they too can get their own bread and butter for a lifetime and not a day.
