Christianity: Unashamedly

I don't take for granted that we live in a country where we are free to be who we are without fear of persecution.

Just by mere watching the news or reading newspapers, my heart bleeds for all my brothers and sisters around the world that are being killed because of their Christian faith. I respect all other faiths and beliefs and I expect mine to be respected too.

Most Christians, if asked to chose between denying Christ Jesus and choosing life or standing by Him and chose death, will immediately chose the latter. I am by no means perfect. But I know my God. I know whom I serve and I will never deny him. Christ died on that cross for me, so that I will be saved and have eternal life, therefore, all I am is in Christ Jesus. I declare and I prophesy, Christ is my security. Christ is my peace. Christ is my protection. I am protected of God. No evil shall befall me and mine because I know "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe". (Proverbs 18:10 KJV)

Going to church now with a smile on my face gives me so much joy. I appreciate this opportunity and am humbled because I know there are a lot of Christians who cannot attend a Christian gathering or openly read their Bible or walk on the streets to evangelise. I do worry about what will happen in the next 50-100 years. My seed, my offspring. Will they openly live their Christian life free from persecution?

Today, as I go to church, I remember my brothers and sisters in Syria, in Nigeria and all around the world. I pray for them. That in all they do, Christ will stand by them.

Be Inspired
xoxo
